What is the advantage of a desktop touch screen?
My friend has a new Sony touch screen computer (all in one type).
I tried it out and it's a "pain" to use. Much easier to use a mouse.
If the computer screen was flat on your desk this would be useful, but not when it's vertical.
Who thought this stupid idea?
Nothing for 99.999% of users- just a gimmick to sell more "high tech" PC's. In truth, touch screens, like those found on iPod Touch's have been around for many years- no one adopted them to PC's because there is no point. It won't go mainstream for very long- no demand for it. If I had to touch my PC screen to enter information I would go nuts and who wants to look at a finger print smudged dirty screen all day long?
