yahoo messenger freezes computer?
I have tried to download yahoo messenger on my comp...actually, to be accurate, i HAVE downloaded it. the program is there, but when asked to run it, it freezes my computer. this has also occurred with another program designed to let someone remote operate my desk top. I am running windows Xp professional on a dell. my browser is chrome. have plenty of hard drive...is there some setting i'm not seeing?

Another situation can be related to outdated antivirus/security software. Disable it temporarily and see if the problem subsides or update to a newer version.
