Who wants to help me choose a computer for university?

I'm not a hardcore gamer, but I'll probably play some stuff like the Sims 3 and the older Age of Empire games. So, a bit of gaming, word processing, internet, and maybe some photo/video work. I want a desktop, and right now I'm looking at these two:

Any advice? Pick your favourite of the two, or even suggest another brand or computer . . . thanks so much!

Those both look like great computers for you basic needs. On the game front I would recommend getting a separate video card and not an integrated one. You will spend a bit more but believe me you will have a BETTER gaming experience.

In short my friends wife is into SIMS and she was running a system similar to this one (with integrated video card). I gave her my old Dell video card which was a little better and the games graphics, viewing area, and speed were much improved. It seems geeky to talk about "load speeds" however consider this. Every time you are waiting for your SIM to do something or the next screen to load this is what load times are. In other words less time tapping your fingers seeing if "killing" your SIM for insurance money is going to pay off. icon wink Studio Computer Desk

In short good systems, spend an extra $100-200 for the video card and you will really enjoy the games.
