Leaning Computer Desk

HELP! The Blue Screen of Death Hath Called My Computer Home!?

I will first of all freely admit that this is completely and utterly my fault. Some time ago (a month, maybe?), I was trying to reach something over my desk, and leaned too far into my printer, knocking it back behind the desk. It struct and broke the surge protector on the way down. I've replaced said power-pluggy-inny-thing (I warn you, I am not computer literate at all), but now when I try to turn my computer on, it goes to a screen that asks me how I would like to boot. I choose "Start Windows Normally", but it doesn't run and reboots, returning to the same screen. The same thing happens in all safe mode options and in "Last Known Good Configuration".

So my question is this: What did I do and how do I fix it?

If all options to boot normally don't work I would suggest (if you have the original windows install disk) doing a Repair of your Windows installation to see if that works.

As for what you did, it's hard to specifically pinpoint that because there is no real good error message that points to some specifically that went wrong.

BTW, don't reformat as your first option unless you don't mind losing all your data, I'd definitely try to repair method first.
